Stubborn sink stains? You'll just need these two items: Video

Your kitchen sink might be the most used feature in your house. With all the pots, pans, plates, plants, food, babies to bathe and whatever else you put in there, it’s no surprise that sinks get dirty and stained.
Many sinks can be cleaned using your dish soap and a sponge or wiped down with a lemon slice. However, those won’t cut it when it comes to stains, especially on porcelain sinks. Thankfully, getting those out is easier than you think.
Watch this video to see how you can eliminate tough sink stains with two ingredients.
Porcelain sink
Porcelain is prone to getting stains and scratches, so it’s no surprise when these show up in your sink. Fortunately, there’s an easy solution to get rid of that discoloration and make your sink look as good as new. And you probably already have what you need to get the job done.
Put on your rubber gloves, grab a scrubby sponge, a small bowl and baking soda. Baking soda provides that little bit of abrasiveness needed to efficiently cut through those stains.
To get stains out of a porcelain sink:
- Pour some baking soda into the bowl and add a little water. Stir it until it becomes a paste.
- Dip your sponge in the mixture.
- Get to work! It shouldn’t take a lot of elbow grease to get the stain to start to disappear.
- Once you’re done scrubbing, rinse the sink with water and see if you need to make another pass on anywhere.
- Repeat, then rinse.
- When you’re happy with your work, give the sink one final scrub with dish soap and rinse.
If there are some really tough spots, add hydrogen peroxide to your baking soda paste. Dab the mixture onto the spot using your sponge and let it sit for a couple of minutes before rinsing.
If the stain is harder to defeat than Bowser, enlist the help of Bar Keepers Friend, or for a natural alternative, consider the ScrubDaddy Power Paste.
If you’re dealing with rust stains, pretreat the area with vinegar. Using a spray bottle can help target a specific area.
