While we haven't tested this particular soundbar, it has similar specs to the Bose TV Speaker Bar ($279) we did investigate. The Bose Solo Soundbar II has some of the same features we appreciated in the TV Speaker Bar, including Dialogue Mode, which helps bring voices to the forefront, making them clearer and more discernable, particularly when you're competing with other household sounds. Like the TV Speaker Bar, it also includes Bluetooth technology for wirelessly pairing with any Bluetooth-enabled device with ease. (Note that, also like the Speaker Bar, a subwoofer isn't included.)
If you're concerned that refurbished means you'll be getting a second-tier or damaged product, don't worry: Refurbished products from Bose were returned for any number of reasons, but they go through what the company describes as a rigorous inspection, testing and servicing process to ensure they meet Bose's strict standards. It comes with the same warranty (at least one year), though there might be slight, "nearly imperceptible" blemishes—and you can you return your device for free for 90 days, too, if there's any issue.
At this price, the Bose Solo Soundbar II is a great way to upgrade your TV's built-in sound—and at a savings you won't beat.
