The Kindle Paperwhite Kids edition is the same as our favorite award-winning e-reader, but it comes in some fun colors and designs, comes with a year of Amazon Kids included, and you get the 2-year "worry-free guarantee" where Amazon will replace your Kindle if it breaks—no questions asked.
That's actually a much better deal than the regular Kindle Paperwhite, which is currently more expensive and doesn't come with Kindle Kids, the fun cover designs or 2-year replacement included. It's otherwise the same device, with a bright 300 ppi screen and fully waterproof design.
The Kindle Paperwhite Kids is not to be confused with the Kindle Fire Kids ($59.99), which is a full tablet that runs games and can browse the internet. The Paperwhite Kids Edition, like the regular Paperwhite, is meant for reading books and comics on its monochrome screen.
