What is Goldbelly?

Goldbelly is a food delivery service that lets shoppers get meals of all types from their favorite local restaurants delivered to their front doors. Founded in 2013 by Joe Ariel, the website features food vendors ranging from small, artisanal producers to larger, sometimes local chains. From bakeries and delis to restaurants and more, Goldbelly delivers plates to your door that are ready to eat or involve minimal prep time.

How does Goldbelly work?

You can filter the site's options by restaurant, chef, holiday, region, city or meal kit. Dishes come prepared by and shipped directly from the restaurant you choose with instructions on how to prepare the meals included. You'll have to be patient with your orders as they ship within a few days of ordering and you’ll receive tracking information via email.

Is Goldbelly legit?

We tested the services and selections from Goldbelly and found it to be a great alternative to a night out at a restaurant when you are just in the mood to stay home. You'll avoid the hassles of transportation and making reservations but you can still support local eateries. As for the selection of dishes, our tester based in Atlanta tried ordering from two Georgia-based restaurants: the Antico Pizza Napoletana and The Grey. When she ordered four pizzas from Antico and a tin of chocolate cookies from The Grey, they arrived with the same quality as they would if she went to each spot in person.

Is Goldbelly worth it?

Absolutely! Whether you're hungry for fried food or a fresh piece of pie, Goldbelly delivers some truly tasty plates to your home with an easy (if not lengthy) shipping process. Our testers made no complaints about the packaging of the meals brought to their front doors, let alone the quality of said dishes. It may not be a full-on replacement to a night out on the town for dinner, but it's a great way to enjoy a cozy meal at home while supporting your favorite eateries.

How fast does Goldbelly ship?

The one caveat to note about Goldbelly is that it's not entirely food on-demand. Deliveries from this site usually ship within a few days of ordering. Don't worry though, as you'll receive tracking information on your order via email.
