Sunscreen is a must-have skincare product for every day, but it becomes vital for protecting your skin as the weather gets warmer, i.e., when the sun's rays get stronger. Kosas, a popular skincare and makeup brand sold at Sephora, wants to help you protect your skin this year with the launch of its first sunscreen, DreamBeam Comfy Smooth Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40.

DreamBeam is a $40 mineral face sunscreen that leans on non-nano (meaning it has larger particles that won't penetrate the skin) zinc oxide to shield the skin from UVA and UVB rays. The formula also contains peptides to plump the skin, ceramides to protect the skin barrier, hyaluronic acid to hydrate and allantoin to soothe skin. The SPF is fragrance-free and claims to be water-resistant.
The inspiration for DreamBeam came from Kosas founder Sheena Zadeh-Daly's desire to create a sunscreen that could work well with makeup without clogging pores or causing breakouts. To use it, the brand recommends "warming the SPF in your hands," applying it all over the face and waiting at least three minutes to allow it to fully absorb before applying makeup.
As Reviewed's beauty editor, I was able to try Kosas DreamBeam before its launch, and I can attest that it has a silky, glowy formula that feels comfortable on the skin. It has a slight peach tint, which is supposed to offset any white cast, which I found to be true on my light skin tone.
Kosas DreamBeam Comfy Smooth Sunscreen is available online now at Kosas and Sephora and will arrive at Sephora stores on Tuesday, May 2.
