Dad traveled three states with his 5 dead kids in the back of his car

We don't know why they were killed. We don't know how they died. All we know for sure is their father led police to their bodies, stuffed into five separate garbage bags, decomposing along a dirt road in Alabama. Timothy Ray Jones Jr., 32, is accused of killing his five children in South Carolina. "We feel that he killed the five children at the same time. He traveled three states with these children in garbage bags in the back of his vehicle," Lexington County Sheriff Lewis McCarty said.

Alzheimer's 51% more common in people who took anxiety meds such as Xanax and Valium

Are you taking drugs to help with your anxiety? What about to help you sleep? If you do, pay attention. A new study found Alzheimer's was 51% more common in older adults who took benzodiazepines – drugs such as Xanax, Ativan and Valium. Doctors say it's no surprise these drugs have cognitive side effects – the real question is whether the side effects are short-term or permanent.

Former stripper accusing Dallas Cowboys owner of sexual assault says she fears for her life

Jana Weckerly says she was told to keep her mouth shut. The 27-year-old woman from Ardmore, Okla., says Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones sexually assaulted her, then conspired with the Cowboys to keep her from reporting the incident to police. She's filed a lawsuit and seeks more than $1 million in damages. Jones' attorney called the lawsuit a "shakedown" and said the whole thing is an extortion plot. Weckerly's attorney says she lives at an undisclosed location because she fears for her life, based on threats made by Jones and the Cowboys.

#WhyIStayed tries to change conversation from why Janay Rice stayed to why her husband hit her

A lot of people wonder why Janay Rice stayed with Ray Rice after he beat her in an Atlantic City hotel elevator. And a lot of people say that's not the right question to ask. Beverly Gooden, a survivor of domestic violence, took to Twitter to address what she considered comments that were "very victim-blaming." Monday, Gooden tweeted, "I tried to leave the house once after an abusive episode, and he blocked me. He slept in front of the door that entire night. #WhyIStayed." The tweet prompted others to share their own experiences with partner violence. #WhyIStayed has been used more than 100,000 times in the past two days on Twitter, according to social media analytics website Topsy.com. "My purpose was to change the question from why doesn't she leave to why does he hit her," Gooden said.

Denver teen who pleaded guilty in terror case will get mental health evaluation before sentencing

Shannon Conley was boarding a plane from Denver to the Middle East when she was arrested. Today, the 19-year-old accused of preparing to wage armed jihad against her fellow Americans pleaded guilty in federal court to lending material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization. As part of an agreement with prosecutors, the government may recommend a lesser sentence if Conley helps with investigations. She'll get a mental health evaluation before she's sentenced in January.
