Playing dress up is a love for a lot of little girls. Mother and daughter, Robyn and Carla Willson, remember how much fun it used to be when they dressed up when they were younger. That's why they don long braids, longer skirts, and a lot of sparkles for one reason. Joy.

They dress up in a variety of costumes, today's being characters from Disney's 'Frozen,' to bring smiles to those who are battling cancer. Dressed to the nines as characters Elsa and Ana, this duo doesn't visit the cancer center empty-handed. They show up with smiles and Sno-Balls, making sure that the patients and nurses get to enjoy sweet treats during their visits.

"We think we're really clever at times," laughs daughter Robyn.

Mom Carla says their mission is simple: "Making the people that are having chemo think about something other than their chemo."

And Carla knows how that feels. This distraction is for her as well.

Carla has Stage IV lung cancer. As she and her daughter sit side by side, dressed in braids and glittery polyester costumes, Carla receives her chemo. Together they fight cancer and they fight to smile. "We've chosen to make it fun," says Robyn.

Robyn and Carla have found playing dress-up changes perspectives, theirs and everyone around them. Follow Robyn and Carla's journey to spread joy here.

"Choosing each day to find joy in that day," says Carla, "That's what gets us through."
