Computer glitch grounds United flights for 30 minutes
United Airlines temporarily grounded flights Tuesday morning for a technical glitch, but flights resumed departing about 9:30 a.m., the company said.
The Federal Aviation Administration announced the flight halt at 8:54 a.m. EDT for "automation issues." The ground stop was lifted at 9:33 a.m.
United tweeted that it delayed flight "to ensure aircraft departed with proper dispatch information. Flights are departing now."
Charles Hobart, a United spokesman, said the airline is "accommodating our customers to their destinations."
Passengers of various United Airlines flights took to Twitter to voice their concerns and confusion with the delays.
