Second victim discovered after NYC gas blast

A second body has been recovered in the rubble of Saturday's gas explosion and fire in Brooklyn, N.Y., that ripped off the front of a building and left 13 others injured, the office of Mayor Bill de Blasio said Monday.

The injuries of one of the survivors are severe, the mayor's office said.

In the meantime, the city has ordered the evacuation of 12 residential and 6 commercial units in five buildings near the site. Forty-nine people have been displaced by the blast.

Firefighters were among those who suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The police department's Arson and Explosion Unit remains on the scene.

Police have been searching for a woman who has been missing since the explosion and who was posting suicidal thoughts on social media, according to NBC.
