San Antonio school no longer on lockdown

Officials at the University of the Incarnate Word  in San Antonio said Tuesday night that the campus was no longer on lockdown after reports went out that a man with two rifles was on campus.

"No suspect has been found to support the initial report," the school said via Twitter. "The campus is not in lockdown."

Campus representatives did not immediately respond to a voice mail message and the telephone line of campus police was busy.

Earlier Tuesday night, the Student Government Association through its Twitter account asked students to remain calm and to report anything they might know to a telephone number. Students were directed to stay put where they were.

The university advised students to "take caution" through its Twitter account and the homepage of its website.

The school is a private Catholic university founded by the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word in 1881 and is the fourth-largest private university in Texas.
