5 things you need to know Tuesday
Rare cyclone hits Yemen
A rare cyclone made landfall in arid Yemen on Tuesday. Cyclone Chapala is the first hurricane-strength storm to hit Yemen since 1945, and it is expected to bring strong winds, heavy rain and possible flash flooding to the region. With winds reaching up to 120 mph on Monday, Chapala was equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, and is the second-strongest cyclone on record in the Arabian Sea. Forecasters expect the storm to weaken before it makes landfall, but it still poses serious risk to the region.
Ohio to vote on legalization of marijuana
Ohio voters will decide whether to legalize marijuana Tuesday with a constitutional amendment. If the bill passes, Ohio will become the most populated jurisdiction to legalize marijuana, joining Colorado, Washington, Oregon, Alaska and the District of Columbia. Private investor group ResponsibleOhio collected more than 300,000 signatures of registered voters by August, nearly 15,000 more than necessary to qualify for the general-election ballot. Backers say legalizing pot will create a billion-dollar industry in the next four years.

Tom Cruise, is one of the reasons she left. Cruise is so important to the church that the two can't be separated, she said. Remini also said she didn't like how her daughter's life was starting to resemble her own much-resented Scientology-centric childhood.
Pistorius faces new legal challenge
Oscar Pistorius is out of jail, but the former track star faces another legal challenge Tuesday when prosecutors argue at an appeals court that he should go back to prison for killing his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp. Pistorius was acquitted of murder but convicted of the lesser charge of culpable homicide, or manslaughter. He spent a year of his five-year sentence in a Pretoria prison and is now on house arrest and staying with his uncle. If the appeals court rejects the manslaughter conviction and instead rules that Pistorius is guilty of murder, he faces going back to prison for 15 years.
