195 countries strike historic deal on climate change
Delegates from 195 countries approved on Saturday a historic climate accord that seeks to slow the rise of greenhouse gases blamed for putting Earth on a dangerous warming path. Called the Paris Agreement, the document is the result of five sets of grueling negotiations this year. Even though the U.S. is second only to China as a climate polluter, many of the initiatives needed to keep global temperatures in check over the long term are already being implemented. This means Americans likely won't notice new regulations or restrictions, experts say.
