Drone gets too close to Obama motorcade
A drone was spotted flying near President Obama’s motorcade in Hawaii on Monday. The drone operator told law enforcement he didn’t know Obama was in the area and immediately complied. No charges were filed.
The Secret Service asked a man to take down a drone that flew a little too close to President Obama's motorcade in Hawaii on Monday.
"The subject was completely unaware that the Presidential motorcade would be transiting the area of operation and immediately complied with law enforcement requests to cease and desist," the Secret Service said in a statement.
"No charges were filed," the service said, and "the motorcade proceeded without further incident."
The drone briefly flew alongside Obama's motorcade as the president returned to his vacation home from a golf outing.
