Protests over officer-involved shootings lead to arrests, clashes with police 

Protesters across the country packed the streets over the weekend, shutting down major roadways and clashing with police in the wake of officer-involved shootings last week that left two black men dead in Louisiana and Minnesota. Five officers were injured as demonstrators lit fireworks and threw rocks at police in St. Paul, near where Philando Castile, 32, was killed during a traffic stop. In Baton Rouge, where Alton Sterling, 37, was killed outside a convenience store, prominent Black Lives Matter activist DeRay Mckessonwas arrested while walking along the shoulder of a busy street and live streaming the protest. Shots were fired at the police headquarters building in San Antonio on Saturday night as well, though no injuries were reported.

Serena Williams, Andy Murray capture Wimbledon singles titles

Serena Williams captured the women’s singles title at Wimbledon on Saturday, and in doing so claimed her 22nd Grand Slam singles title, equaling the Open Era record held by Steffi Graf. It also marked the seventh Wimbledon singles title for Williams, prompting some to call her not just one of the greatest tennis players, but "one of the greatest athletes to ever live." On the men’s side, Andy Murray won his second Wimbledon singles title by beating Milos Raonic in straight sets Sunday. Murray last won Wimbledon in 2013, when he became the first British winner of the men’s singles title since 1936.

More women accuse Fox News chief of sexual harassment

Roger Ailes, the man who has run Fox News Channel since it began 20 years ago, could be in for the biggest fight of his long career. More than a dozen women have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against Ailes in the wake of former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson's suit against him on similar grounds. Carlson alleges she was fired for refusing the powerful executive's sexual advances and six women profiled in New York Magazine say Ailes expected them to perform sexual favors in exchange for job opportunities. On Saturday, Ailes' attorney dismissed the "latest allegations, all 30 to 50 years old" as false. The fight could be coming at bad a time for Ailes, as changes at parent company 21st Century Fox could leave him vulnerable in his position at the head of Fox News.

Bullfighter fatally gored in Spain on live TV

A bullfighter was fatally gored in Spain during a live television broadcast, the first professional matador killed in a bullring in more than 30 years. Victor Barrio, 29, died Saturday at the bullring in the eastern town of Teruel. The bull gored Barrio in the thigh, knocking him down, and then again in the chest, penetrating his lung and aorta. At the famed running of the bulls in the northern city of Pamplona, participants wore black armbands to honor Barrio. Two Spanish men were in serious condition after being gored during Sunday's run at Pamplona's San Fermin festival,.

$540M Jackpot-winning ticket sold, but winner still a mystery

A busy gas station in Cambridge City, Ind., sold the Mega Millions jackpot-winning ticket Friday night, but the winner still hasn't stepped forward. Locals were hoping that a fellow Hoosier purchased the ticket, but the gas station is on Interstate 70, and travelers from a variety states often pass through. Before taxes, the jackpot is estimated at $540 million for a 30-year annuity or at $380 million for a one-time lump sum, according to the Hoosier Lottery. The total is estimated as the third-highest Mega Millions jackpot and the highest ever won by just a single ticket, according to the lottery.
