Solar Impulse 2 takes off on final flight
Solar Impulse 2 took off from Cairo early Sunday local time in the final leg of its around-the-world journey that started more than a year ago.
The experimental, solar-powered airplane is headed to Abu Dhabi, where it began its trip in March 2015.
The 14-year solar project, estimated to cost more than $100 million, to help promote clean technologies.
