Reports: Man found dead of head injuries at Russian consulate in NYC

A 63-year-old man was found dead of head trauma injuries Tuesday morning at the Russian Consulate on New York City's Upper East Side, according to police and local media reports.

Police said the unidentified male was found unconscious shortly before 7 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene by an EMS team. The medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death, NBC New York reports.

Russian consular staff told the BBC the man was a consular employee and he had died of "a heart attack."
