Pippa Middleton wedding, Preakness: What you need to know this weekend
Wedding bells for Pippa Middleton
Here comes the bride! Pippa Middleton takes center stage Saturday when she weds hedge fund manager James Matthews at what's looking to be the high society event of the year. Big sis Kate (also known as the Duchess of Cambridge) will be there with husband Prince William and royal toddlers, George and Charlotte. There's speculation Prince Harry will bring his girlfriend, American actress Meghan Markle. Who's not invited? Much of the media. It is a private wedding, after all, so not much is known officially. Pippa, 33, became an unexpected star as a bridesmaid at William and Kate's 2011 wedding.
Stakes are high as President Trump takes his first trip overseas
President Trump arrived in Saudi Arabia on Saturday to begin an ambitious five-city, nine-day foreign trip with the goal of uniting the Muslim world against terror — even as his presidency is embroiled in a quickly escalating controversy over his ties to the Russian government. Trump's first foreign trip comes amid a succession of breathtaking developments over his firing of the FBI director, contacts with Russian diplomats and the appointment of special counsel to investigate.
Can Always Dreaming move one step closer to capturing the Triple Crown?
The 142nd Preakness Stakes, set for a 6:48 p.m ET post time Saturday at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course, has at this point nearly morphed into a match race between Kentucky Derby winner Always Dreaming and Classic Empire. If Always Dreaming wins, he would be the fifth horse in the past 10 years to win the first two legs of the Triple Crown. A win would also send him to the Belmont Stakes in June with the chance of winning the often-elusive achievement. Pimlico introduced the Preakness in 1873 — two years before the Kentucky Derby — and it has been held annually in Baltimore since 1909.

'The Greatest Show on Earth' hangs up its hat for the last time
After 146 years, the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is taking a final bow. One of Ringling's two traveling circuses performs Sunday in New York, marking the end of an era in American entertainment. (The other show closed earlier this month.) For fans who want to experience the show one last time, Ringling Bros. will stream it live on Facebook at 7 p.m. ET Sunday. Protests by animal rights groups in recent years are among the things that took a toll on the circus, along with declining attendance and changing public tastes.
