Harvey inundated southeastern Texas with feet of rain during the past week, which has lead to historic flooding. Remote sensing by the Dartmouth Flood Observatory shows more than 3,800 square miles were flooded. That's nearly as large as Delaware and Rhode Island combined.
Once the skies cleared on Wednesday, satellite imagery and analytics firm DigitalGlobe directed its cameras over the Houston area. Some differences in colors result from the time of year and and viewing angles of the satellites' cameras. That said, what the images reveal of the devastation is clear:
