5 things you need to know Monday
The Academy booted Weinstein. Now the Producers Guild could, too.
The Producers Guild of America is set to hold an emergency board meeting Monday regarding the membership of Harvey Weinstein, the disgraced movie mogul accused of sexual misconduct by a number of leading actresses. Weinstein received the PGA’s Milestone Award in 2013 with his brother, Bob Weinstein. Since The New York Times and The New Yorker published scathing allegations of decades of assault (which he denies), Weinstein has been fired from the company he co-founded, left by his wife and expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

Did you file for a tax extension? Today's the day.
Whether due to missing paperwork or plain procrastination, you might be among the millions who filed for a six-month tax extension in April. Monday marks the deadline for filing that 2016 return, however, and failure to meet that could mean serious consequences. If you owe the IRS any money, you'll face a late filing penalty equal to 5% of the tax you owe per month, up to a maximum penalty of 25%. Those who don't owe the IRS money face no real penalty for filing late — just don't expect any refunds to arrive on time, either.
Yankees, down two, head home against Astros in ALCS
The AL Championship Series moves to Yankee Stadium on Monday, with veteran left-hander CC Sabathia taking the mound for New York opposite the Houston Astros' Charlie Morton. The Astros lead the series, 2-0, after Houston pitcher Justin Verlander summoned the spirit of his childhood idol Nolan Ryan and overpowered the Yankees lineup. First pitch is set for 8:00 p.m. ET on Fox Sports 1.

Hurricane Ophelia bears down on Ireland, U.K.
Hurricane Ophelia is expected to weaken to a storm before hitting Ireland and Britain on Monday, but U.K. Met office forecaster Luke Miall says it could still pack “hurricane-force” winds. Ireland’s Met Eireann says western counties could get gusts of up to 80 mph with heavy rain and storm surges. Ophelia was a category 2 hurricane on Sunday as it moved northeast across the Atlantic, with sustained winds of 105 mph. While it may have weakened, authorities say the remnants could still bring disruption and damage as the work week gets underway.

25,000 wild dogs run amok in Guam — with only 4 dog catchers
In June 2017, an estimated 25,000 stray dogs roamed the island of Guam. That number grows every day, posing a public health hazard to those that encounter them. What's more: There are apparently only four animal control officers for the entire island. Setting traps every Monday is part of the island's strategy, but one mayor says people in the community steal the traps and take them home to capture wild pigs.
