A developer is hoping to bring some over-sized sculptures to the Cartoon Network Hotel being built on Lincoln Highway East, next to Dutch Wonderland.

According to a report in lancasteronline, the developer wants to put a 28-foot-long spiraling fiberglass sculpture on the hotel roof next to an 8-foot-tall sculpture. The sculptures are of a pair of network characters, a magical dog Jake, and a boy Finn, respectively.

Dutch Wonderland is developing the hotel, the first of its kind, and is asking East Lampeter Township officials to approve the sculptures and other Cartoon Network-themed signs.

The 165-room hotel is slated to open this summer at the site of the former Continental Inn.
