Emergency response to suspected overdose leads to arrest
Emergency teams, including Ardmore Police, were dispatched to a motel in northwest Ardmore Friday to assist with a medical call.
While enroute, the responding officers were notified that one female subject at the location was unresponsive and was suspected to have overdosed on pills, according to an officer's report.
After arriving on scene, officers discovered that two individuals had overdosed. First responders administered Narcan to both subjects, who were then transported to the hospital for treatment.
Information received at the scene indicated that an individual was 'selling drugs' nearby, according to the officer's report. Investigation led to the arrest of Richard Labansat of Ardmore. Labansat was booked into the Carter County Detention Center on charges of Trafficking methamphetamine and Possession of CDS with intent to distribute. Formal charges with probable cause are pending in Carter County District Court.
Information about the condition of the subjects transported for medical care was not available as of press time.
