With that background, here's when you can expect to receive Social Security benefits in April, and where to turn in Pennsylvania if you need help.

When do I get my April Social Security check?

According to the Social Security Administration's disbursement calendar, the first wave of Social Security disbursements for April will go out on Wednesday, April 9, for recipients whose birthday falls between the first and the tenth.

Those individuals will receive Social Security benefits on the second Wednesday of every month.

If your birthday falls between the 11th and the 20th, you will receive your Social Security benefits on Wednesday, April 16 — the third Wednesday of the month.

And if your birthday falls between the 21st and 31st, you will receive your Social Security benefits on Wednesday, April 23 - the fourth Wednesday of the month.
