The claim: Video shows Jim Jordan calling Nancy Pelosi 'anti-American'

Paste BN has debunked a series of videos that feature attention-grabbing captions but actually show completely unrelated footage. One recent example purportedly shows Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan calling Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "anti-American."

"SHE'S ANTI - AMERICAN - Jim Jordan ASSAIL (sic) Nancy Pelosi and president Biden," reads the video's caption in an Oct. 4 Facebook post

The video was viewed more than 9,000 times in a little more than a week.

But the caption is wrong. While the video does show the Republican congressman speaking, he does not mention Pelosi or call her "anti-American."

Jordan does not mention Pelosi in the video

The video is composed of three clips.

In the first, Jordan is shown on the House floor in late September advocating against then-proposed legislation H.R. 3843, which allocated additional funding for antitrust law enforcement. The bill later passed the House.

In the second clip, Jordan speaks about purported threats to First Amendment rights while on stage with other House Republicans. The third clip shows Jordan criticizing the Democratic Party's purported law enforcement priorities during a congressional subcommittee hearing in March.

Jordan does not mention Pelosi or call her "anti-American" in any of the clips.

The claim was previously debunked by Check Your Fact.
