There was no tornado in Dallas on Oct. 26, according to an area meteorologist. The video includes footage from other places.

Tornado footage miscaptioned

The video is labeled "October 26, 2024," but as of Oct. 30, there had been no tornadoes in Dallas County or within Dallas city limits in 2024, Daniel Huckaby, a National Weather Service meteorologist, previously told Paste BN. By that date, there had been three tornadoes in Collin County, which includes part of Dallas and is considered part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

But clips in the video include footage from tornadoes in other places, such as 2019 tornadoes in Pennsylvania and Indiana. Another clip in the video was uploaded to YouTube in 2012.

Paste BN has debunked several viral videos that falsely claim to show tornadoes in various locations, including Dallas, Atlanta and Tennessee.
