The claim: Video shows Harris slurring speech after election loss

A Nov. 26 Facebook video (direct link, archive link) appears to show Vice President Kamala Harris speaking slowly with dark bags under her eyes.

"Kamala Harris is not hadling (sic) her loss well," the post's caption reads.

Other versions of the claim were shared on X.

The video was edited to slow Harris' speech and add dark bags under her eyes. The original footage shows the vice president speaking and looking normally.

Video of Harris slurring speech is edited

Harris shared the original footage on YouTube on Nov. 26, nearly three weeks after losing the election to President-elect Donald Trump.

In the full 13-minute video, which also included remarks from her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, Harris spoke to her supporters about the importance of fighting for what they believe in despite the election loss. She talked at a normal speed and did not have any visible undereye bags.

The Democratic National Committee also shared the unedited version of the Facebook clip on X the same day.

Paste BN previously debunked similar videos edited to slow Harris' speech.

The user who shared the post told Paste BN they were aware the video was altered when they posted it.
