Tim Walz to prep for vice presidential debate while in Harbor Springs
HARBOR SPRINGS — Democratic vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz will be in Michigan for the next few days, and he’s picked Harbor Springs as the practice site for his upcoming debate.
According to a Facebook post from the Emmet County Democrats, Walz and U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg arrived at the Pellston Regional Airport on Thursday.

“It is an honor to have them in Emmet County,” the group wrote on Facebook.
According to a report from The New York Times, Walz will take part in a multi-day debate camp in Harbor Springs, where he and Buttigieg will conduct a series of mock debates.

Walz also plans to attend the Michigan-Minnesota football game on Saturday in Ann Arbor. Walz is the current governor of Minnesota.
Walz is set to debate Republican vice-presidential nominee JD Vance on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
