Johnny Gaudreau's wife Meredith announces birth of baby boy on Instagram
Meredith Gaudreau, the wife of Blue Jackets player Johnny Gaudreau, gave birth to a baby boy on April 1, she announced on Instagram Monday.
Carter Michael Gaudreau shares a middle name with his father. He is also the same weight at birth that Johnny was and looks like him, according to Meredith's post.
"I love you so much my baby! We are going to have so much fun. I can’t wait to give you the best life, my special boy forever," she wrote in the post.
Meredith first announced her pregnancy during a tear-filled eulogy for her husband, who was struck and killed along with his brother, Matthew, by a suspected drunk driver in August.
Carter is Meredith and Johnny's third child. They also have a 2-year-old daughter, Noa, and a 1-year-old son, Johnny Jr.
Madeline Gaudreau, the wife of Matthew, gave birth to her only son, Tripp Matthew Gaudreau, in December, four months after Matthew's death.
