Furry rescue! Firefighters save hamsters; one baby doesn't survive

LACY, Wash. -- Firefighters responding to a mobile home fire made an adorable rescue of some furry friends.

Once the fire was knocked down, Lacey Fire District 3 in Lacey, Washington, administered oxygen to a family of hamsters on Sept. 26.

There were two adults named Oreo and Madonna and three babies found in the living room area during the fire, according to the department. One baby hamster didn't make it, the department explained via Twitter message to Paste BN Network.

The crew was equipped, thanks to their special training with pets, according to the department.
