Dominique Ansel's Cronut recipe revealed
Time to put on your apron and get to baking.
Chef Dominique Ansel shared his Cronut recipe with the public Monday on Good Morning America in promotion of his new book out later this month called Dominique Ansel: Secret Recipes.
The recipe details how to make his immensely popular pastry, a cross between a doughnut and a croissant, at home. It's rated "extreme" for difficulty.
"The book has some much simpler recipes, but this is definitely a three-day challenge for the real serious bakers out there," Ansel told ABC News about the recipe.
"I hope they have fun with it and make it for someone special," he said.
Ansel first introduced the Cronut to the world in 2013, and people lined up for hours outside his New York City bakery to try one. Until Monday, an official recipe was not available to the public.
