Cop's quick thinking saves 20-year-old's life

Imagine driving down the road and then all of a sudden everything fading to black. This was the scary reality that 20-year-old Reyonda Smith faced while driving one afternoon.
"I felt myself getting hot and I started blacking out," Smith explains.
Luckily, Smith wasn't alone. After stopping the car, her friend took the wheel and drove them to Smith's grandmother's house.
By chance, a police officer was already on the scene when they arrived. Officer Kimberly Maxwell says she heard yelling and when she ran to the car, she found Smith unconscious. Thanks to specialized training, Maxwell knew exactly what to do and began administering chest compressions.
Watch the video above to hear Smith express her gratitude towards the officer.
While Maxwell says she is relieved the 20-year-old is OK, she insists she was "just doing the job." After growing up in the area, she says she strives to protect her home and the people nearby.
