Video of a man carrying an elderly man out of a house engulfed in flames in Fresno, Calif., has gone viral. The hero has not been officially identified.

Roberta Denise Francis ran out of the home with her baby grandson Saturday morning but could not return for her father, 73-year-old Robert Wells, who was attached to an oxygen tank, reports KFSN-TV in Fresno.

"I wasn't going fast enough, so a guy picked me up and carried me out there. He was kind of in a half a run," Wells told the station.

A minute later, firefighters arrived, according to the video.

Wells was transported to a hospital for smoke inhalation, Kris Townsend, a spokesman for the Fresno Fire Department, told The Fresno Bee.

The video was shot by a woman who was driving by and saw the flames. She pulled over, called 911, then shot the five-minute video of the rescue, The Bee reports.
