There has been one big, perhaps-not-so busy beaver swimming around Tempe, Ariz.

Wildlife workers say they spotted a 44-pound specimen at Tempe Town Lake, and using a net, captured it without much trouble.

"I never rescued a beaver before, but for a wild animal to be captured that easily... he's obviously not feeling well," said volunteer Tony Sola, who helped in the capture.

Wildlife workers found the animal near the dam. It was lethargic, so they took it to the Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale, Ariz., where Dr. Nick Robel is running tests on it.

The beaver definitely has some stomach trouble, but otherwise, Robel says, it is doing well.

As soon as veterinarians feel the beaver is ready, it'll be released back into the wild, which Robel says should be in about a month.
