Mom in labor on plane causes emergency landing

GREENSBORO, N.C.-- They say when the baby is ready, it's going to come.
Shaniqua Cherry was on American Airlines Flight 611 from Philadelphia to Atlanta Tuesday afternoon when her water broke mid-flight.
The flight made an emergency landing at Piedmont Triad International Airport (PTI) in Greensboro, N.C.

Cherry, who is from Minnesota, told WFMY-TV that the family was moving from Minnesota to Atlanta and was on the way there.
She gave birth in the EMS vehicle while on the way to Women's Hospital.
The baby, a girl, named Nyla Lulu was born at 1:35 p.m. and weighs seven pounds.
Nyla joins her three other siblings ages 7, 3 and 2.
The flight departed Greensboro shortly after Cherry was taken off and made it's trip to Atlanta on time, American Airlines told WFMY News 2.
