Jennifer Lawrence says next 'X-Men' will be her last
Jennifer Lawrence — Oscar winner, Hunger Games heroine and all-around person you want to brunch with — has also been spending some time as the shape-shifting young Mystique in the X-Men franchise.
But it seems her mutant days are almost over.
While promoting her latest collaboration with Bradley Cooper, Lawrence let it slip that the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse will be her last time putting on that full, blue, body makeup. When a reporter asked her if Apocalypse would be her last X-Men movie, she responded:
"It is my last one, yes."
We get it, Lawrence has a lot of things on her plate, and she's already the star of an action franchise, so she doesn't totally need to play second fiddle in another but, we have to admit, we'll miss her as Mystique. X-Men: First Class is one of our favorite X-movies, and it was in no small part due to Lawrence. Hopefully Apocalypse will give her a good send-off.
See the full interview below (the X-Men talk starts at 3:26), which is also another example of why Lawrence and Cooper are just the most charming people you'll meet.
