Actress and comedian Anne Meara has died at the age of 85, according to a statement released by her husband and son, Jerry and Ben Stiller. Meara starred in dozens of TV shows and movies, including 'All My Children' and 'The Love Boat.'

After sharing the news that his mother, actress and comedienne Anne Meara, died on Saturday at age 85, Ben Stiller took to Twitter to thank friends and fans "for all the kind words about Anne." He tweeted:
In a statement to the Associated Press, the Stiller family said:
"Anne's memory lives on in the hearts of daughter Amy, son Ben, her grandchildren, her extended family and friends, and the millions she entertained as an actress, writer and comedienne." Ben's father Jerry Stillerwas Anne's "husband and partner in life."
