Media blasted for racial bias in Cincinnati shooting coverage


If social media has proved one thing, it's that visuals matter.

On Wednesday, some national news outlets juxtaposed a posed image of murder suspect Ray Tensing with a police mugshot of victim Samuel DuBose. Tensing, a University of Cincinnati police officer at the time, is being charged with murder after he shot and killed the unarmed DuBose during a traffic stop on July 19.

People on social media questioned why the officer, who was indicted for a crime, would be pictured in a patriotic milieu while a victim was portrayed at one of his low points in life.
