Corpse flower blooms, ready to impress, gag Denver visitors

Stinky, the corpse flower at the Denver Botanic Gardens, is unfolding in all its rotting-flesh-scented glory, according to a tweet sent out Tuesday evening.
"Bloom Alert: #StinkyDBG is officially opening!" the garden tweeted shortly before midnight.
Folks across the nation have been captivated by the rare flower in Colorado, which thousands watching KUSA-TV's live camera have seen growing, getting ready for its smelly debut.

To accommodate the influx of visitors desperate to partake in experiencing the scent that inspired Stinky's name, the garden will have extended visiting hours, staying open 9 a.m. CT to midnight Wednesday and 6 a.m. to midnight Thursday with regular hours resuming Friday.
If the corpse-like smell is really your bag, it will last for around 10 hours after the flower blooms.
