170 detonations take down Denver building
Demolition experts brought down a building at the old University Hospital site in Denver. Large crowds gathered to watch 170 small detonations rock the building.

A building in Denver imploded after d emolition experts used 170 small detonations to make way for a redevelopment project.
A quick series of detonations hit the vacant University of Colorado Health Sciences Center over a period of about 30 seconds on Saturday, followed by a cloud of dust.
The former Biomedical Research Buildingwill become part of a 26-acre redevelopment project. The area will become a mixed-use development with residences, offices, retail, restaurants, a hotel and a public space.
