New 'cat street view' shows world from a cat's point of view

Interested in seeing things from a cat's point of view? Onomichi launched a website called the "Cat Street View" that shows the Japanese city from a feline perspective.

City officials used 360-degree cameras to create an experience that mirrors the Google Map's "Street View" experience, only from much lower.

Hiroshima tourist officials said the "cat street view" gives tourists a "view of the streets that wasn't available before," the Wall Street Journal reported.

People can explore the city from the bottom up and meet 11 well-known Onomichi cats along the way.

The website was launched on Tuesday as part of a tourism campaign. City officials plan on adding more locations to the map in October, the Journal reported.
