Child prays for firefighters battling Calif. wildfires
A picture of 4-year-old Calif. boy who offered a prayer to the firefighters battling California's wildfires captured the hearts of people all over the world.
After watching the fires on the news with this mom, Brody Smith became concerned and wanted to pray for the firefighters' safety. His mother, Kelly Smith, captured the precious moment and tweeted it.
"God, um, please help the firefighters get out the fire. Amen," he said.
"He's not asking anything for himself. He's not making promises. He's just saying, God can you please protect the fire fighters," his mother said.
KXTV posted a picture of Brody praying on Facebook on Sept. 14. As of Wednesday, the picture had over 60,000 likes.
Brody wanted to be a firefighter when he grows up and had a simple message for men and women on the front lines of the current fires.
"I want to say thank you and that's it," the boy said.
