2 deputies shot, suspect killed in Georgia shootout

ATLANTA — Authorities in Georgia have confirmed that two deputies were shot responding to a dispute Saturday.

The incident happened as Pickens County deputies responded to a domestic dispute where a man with a gun came out of a home in Talking Rock about 70 miles north of Atlanta.

The man fired at and injured two deputies. The deputies returned fire killing the suspect.

The deputies' injuries were not considered life-threatening.
