Driver tries to cheat carpool lane with 'zombie baby'

Washington State Patrol tweeted that a trooper caught a carpool lane violator near Tacoma on Tuesday using a "zombie baby" as a decoy.

When the motorist was pulled over he had the toy doll in the passenger seat of his vehicle – wearing its seatbelt—complete with a beanie, pajamas and a face that only a diabolical killer clown could love.

The driver was cited $136 for driving in the HOV lane. Police said they gave the driver a break for not having the doll in a car seat.

"At least he's in the [Halloween] spirit," Trooper Guy Gill tweeted.
