Carson pushes back against questions over his background
MILWAUKEE — Ben Carson was rocked last week by multiple media reports that raised questions about some of his claims about his personal history.
Carson said at Tuesday's Republican debate that he was thankful he wasn't asked what he said when he was a 10th grader and has no problem being vetted. "I do have a problem with being lied about and putting it out there as truth."
He turned it around on the media and Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, blasting her account of the Benghazi attack as "a lie."
"I think that's very different from somebody misinterpreting when I said I was offered a scholarship from West Point," he added.
