Man charged with murder, rape of 7-year-old girl

ALLEN CO., Ky. -- Kentucky State Police have arrested a Kentucky man for the murder of a 7-year-old girl whose body was found 25 minutes after she was reported missing by her parents.

Timmy Madden , 38, of Allen County, has been arrested and charged with kidnapping, rape, sodomy, and murder in the slaying of Gabriella "Gabbi" Doolin. His bond is set at $1M.

The child's body was found in a nearby creek 25 minutes after she was reported missing from a high school football game she attended with her parents, according to police.

Autopsy results revealed her cause of death was manual strangulation and drowning.

Gabriella's mother said the family is still reeling from their daughter's death.

“I'd give anything to hold my baby girl just one more time. Please continue to pray for my family," she said in a statement. "I don't know why anyone would do this to a baby or anyone for that matter!"

Allen County Sheriff Jeff Cooke posted a message on his Facebook page, thanking the community for the "help and support you are giving and have given to the Doolin family and law enforcement agencies."

The Kentucky state police lab determined the DNA collected from the victim matched the DNA of Timmy Madden.
