Firearm discharges, person injured at Arizona gun show
PHOENIX — State detectives are investigating the discharge of a firearm at a gun show at the Arizona State Fairgrounds here Saturday, officials said.
One person was injured during the incident, DPS spokesman Raul Garcia said.
The Cross Roads of the West Gun Show is at the fairgrounds Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The traveling gun show hosts hundreds of vendors and is billed as one of the largest gun shows in the West, according to the Arizona Exposition and State Fair website. The gun show is frequently held in Phoenix, Mesa, Nevada, Utah and California.
The Cross Roads of the West website said they request that attendees do not bring loaded firearms into the gun show.
"Safety is our Number One Priority, and a safe environment in the show can only be maintained if there are no loaded guns in the show," the website said.
