Creepy or cute? Human 'Elf on the Shelf' available on Craigslist
The "Elf on the Shelf" tradition is taking on a life of its own this season, with people putting a quirky spin on the holiday favorite.
In Boston, a man posted a Craigslist ad offering his services as a “living Elf on the Shelf,” WFXT-TV reported. And in Utah, a father of six has turned his 4-month-old son into a real-life version of the elf.
For $100 an hour, the Craigslist "Elf on the Shelf" will attend “your holiday party dressed as the "Elf on the Shelf" and sit in any location," all while he "stares emptily at your guests for the duration of the event.”
Sounds like a great night! According to the post, the elf’s services have been in “high demand” this season, so 48-hours notice is needed for holiday events.
As for his name? You can call him whatever you please, according to the post.
The elf also offers babysitting and private investigation services, according to the post. Who wouldn't want a giant elf they found on Craigslist watching their children?
If an "Elf on the Shelf" the size of your high school gym teacher doesn’t sound appealing, there are other variations of the new “real-life” tradition. Alan Lawrence, a photographer and father of six from Utah, posted a series of photos of his 4-month-old son posing as an adorable Elf on the shelf.
