Home explosion kills Ohio mom, daughter; 2 others missing
NORTHFIELD, Ohio — Two people were killed and two people were unaccounted for after a home explosion Monday night, according to the Northfield Center Township Fire Department Chief.
Authorities say the bodies of a mother and child were found on the first floor of the home. The father and another daughter were missing.
The explosion occurred on Skyhaven Drive around 8:30 p.m., according to neighbors.
The neighborhood consists of houses in the $200,000-$230,000 price range, according to zillow.com, and is near the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, southeast of Cleveland.
The family dog made it out of the home alive, authorities said.
