Dashcam shows truck fall 100 feet off highway overpass

Terrifying dash cam footage shows the inside of a garbage truck as it falls 100-feet off a highway overpass in Miami and tumbles to the ground.

The Florida Highway Patrol released footage of the Feb. 15 incident, which shows driver Kaseem Smith as he loses control of the vehicle and ultimately goes over the edge of 1-95 into a park below, WSVN-TV reported. 

"In the video, you see him hitting the left guardrail twice, and then overreacting and going off I-95," Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Joe Sanchez told WSVN. "It's a miracle that he survived."

Smith was hospitalized following the accident, but has since been released and is recovering at home, the station reported.

Sanchez said officials are still investigating the cause of the accident, WSVN reported.
