Police: 2 men held in 6-month-old girl’s shooting death

DETROIT — Two men are in custody in connection with the shooting death of a 6-month-old girl Saturday, police said.

The baby, identified as Miracle Murray, was killed after a man fired into a house on Detroit's west side, a spokesman for the Detroit Police Department said.

A 24-year-old man was also hit by bullets was hospitalized in stable condition.

Police said they believe the shooting is connected to the fatal shooting of a 3-year-old girl on Easter Sunday.

Officer Dan Donakowski said it's not clear whether the baby and and the man who was shot are related.
