Watch: 'Hamilton' parody video from York, Pa.

Raise a glass to the newest Hamilton parody video you must watch.
Journalists at the York Daily Record recently rewrote Guns and Ships to shed light on York history, and to celebrate Marquis de Lafayette bobbleheads created by the York Revolution baseball team.
Lafayette is one of the revolutionaries Alexander Hamilton meets in Hamilton, which recently set a record with 16 Tony nominations.
The York connection is a little fuzzy, but it has to do with a 1778 dinner and a toast to General George Washington. Because of this toast, Lafayette helped Washington keep his position as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army.
There’s a statue of the fighting Frenchman in downtown York, and this week, the York Revolution team will give away 1,500 Lafayette bobbleheads to fans.
The YDR rap goes a little something like this:
“How does a midsize town an hour north of Baltimore
Honor a French aristocrat and an officer?
For smoothly stepping into York to raise a wine glass,
A toast that saved George Washington’s fine WHAT?"
It goes on to explain why Lafayette is important to the area, including plenty of local faces and of course, the new bobblehead.
Reporter Ed Mahon hatched the idea. Editors Brad Jennings, who rapped, and Eileen Joyce, who shot visuals, made the rap video a reality.
They aren't the first to parody the musical. Other videos around the web include one about Angela Merkel and Donald Trump (because of language, this might be NSFW).
